Remember the Alamo is the story of the fictional family of Robert Worth--at the time of the Texas revolution. Soon after he first arrived in Texas, Worth had married San Antonio native Maria Flores, and together they raised a family of two sons and two daughters. The turmoil in Texas during the period leading up to the revolution is epitomized in the Worth family. As a result of their multicultural marriage, the issues of whether Texas should be governed by Mexico or by Anglo-American influences became the fundamental topic that threatened to divide the family. On a much broader scale, these same issues threatened the unity of the people of Texas.
